What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

Like described on the wiki, Super Mario Strikers/Mario Smash Football has a problem rendering the loading screen correctly when XFB Copies to Texture is enabled.

On the newest revisions, the screen turns pink for the duration of the loading time, similar to the victory screen in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Disabling it renders the screen correctly and didn't cause other errors or slowdowns. Please add a G4Q.ini with the following lines:

XFBToTextureEnable = False

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

I'm on 5.0-9896 right now and wanted to play Star Fox Assault but the game doesn't boot.
I only get a black screen. I tried other backends and turning off FPRF but that didn't help.
All other games are working fine. So I used the bisect tool to track down the issue
and came up with two builds.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Starting the game will either give an invalid write message or the game doesn't boot at all.

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

No.

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version?

Since 5.0-5874, Dolphin shows the error message "Invalid write to 0x01fe0202, PC=0x80130780" before booting the game.
Since 5.0-6568, the game doesn't boot at all and only shows a black screen.

Emulator - Emulator Issues #10320 (Fixed): Action Replay Codes don't work anymore since Dolphin 5...https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/103202017-06-04T15:58:39ZKoradosMarc.Godhusen@gmail.com

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

Since Dolphin 5.0-4052, Action Replay and Gecko Codes don't work anymore for Gamecube Titles. I tested it with several Gamecube Titles
and none of the activated codes work. Gecko Codes still work properly for Wii titles.

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?

The issue occurs since 5.0-4052 and is still present in 5.0-4072. On 5.0-4050 and lower, Action Replay and Gecko Codes work normally.

Thank you for your help!

Emulator - Emulator Issues #10088 (Invalid): BSOD when unplugging Mayflash Dolphin Bar while Dolp...https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/100882017-02-09T16:14:57ZKoradosMarc.Godhusen@gmail.com

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

I use the Mayflash Dolphin Bar to connect my Wii Remote to my laptop.
But whenever I unplug it while Dolphin is still open after I closed a game, my laptop
crashes to a BSOD. The problem doesn't occur if I just open Dolphin without
starting a game. The Dolphin Bar also randomly disconnects itself while a game is running,
which also causes a BSOD.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Open Dolphin, start a game, close the game, leave Dolphin open, unplug the Dolphin Bar.

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?

I'm not sure when this began, but I know that I have this problem for about a month now. I use the dev builds of 5.0.

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

Alienware 17 R1
Windows 10 Pro x64
Intel Core i7-4900MQ @ 2.80 GHz (4.00 GHz Turbo Boost)
32 GB RAM DDR3
NVidia GeForce GTX 765M

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

I don't know if this helps but here are the error codes which are stated in the BSOD:

Stop Code: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
What failed: HIDCLASS.SYS

Furthermore, I used the Winaero Tweaker to trigger more details on the screen. The details read:

0xFFFFD890877BA030
0x0000000000000002
Emulator - Emulator Issues #9524 (Fixed): Action Replay code database: Issue with the AR Max ID linehttps://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/95242016-05-06T20:16:01ZKoradosMarc.Godhusen@gmail.com

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

There's an issue with the Action Replay code database which is integrated in Dolphin's ini files. All AR codes have a "head line" which is the AR Max ID line.
The original Action Replay software needs it, but Dolphin doesn't.
On most games it doesn't do any harm but there are some games which crash or behave incorrectly as long as the line is in.
When you enter an AR code into Dolphin, the ID line is automatically deleted. However, they are still present in some of the default ini files.
Therefore, I think that the ini files that still have the ID lines should be updated.

I tested it with the NTSC and PAL versions of a game. I experienced this issue with the following games:

Super Mario Sunshine [GMSE01] and [GMSP01]
Pikmin 2 [GPVE01] and [GPVP01]
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures [G4SE01] and [G4SP01]
Star Fox Adventures [GSAE01] and [GSAP01]
Mario Kart: Double Dash [GM4E01] and [GM4P01]

Emulator - Emulator Issues #9272 (Won't fix): Sonic Adventure 2 Battle saving problemshttps://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/92722016-01-17T20:43:37ZKoradosMarc.Godhusen@gmail.com

46c84273d5cd803715988a33ca3e5664

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

In Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, when you save the game, exit Dolphin and start it again, the game says that the save file is corrupt and has to be formatted.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

It seems to happen quite randomly, but the game file will corrupt after finishing some stages.

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?

This issue seems to apply only to Dolphin 4.0. I tried it on several dev builds. On Dolphin 3.5, this issue doesn't happen. The game saves normally and the
save file doesn't corrupt.

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

Alienware M17
Intel Core i7-4900 @ 2.80 GHz (4.00 GHz Turbo Boost)
Emulator - Emulator Issues #8097 (Fixed): Rabbids Go Home INI filehttps://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/80972015-01-14T21:30:36ZKoradosMarc.Godhusen@gmail.com

Game Name?

Rabbids Go Home

Game ID?

RGWX41

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.

The game ini file states that the game is defect, but it actually isn't completely defect. Furthermore, there should be three settings added to the ini file which stabilise the rendering:

UseXFB = True
UseRealXFB = False
SafeTextureCacheColorSamples = 512

It might sound weird, but maybe a note about the strobe-like flickering would be nice, because it could cause seizures. Please refer to issue 7697 for further information.

Emulator - Emulator Issues #7743 (Accepted): Various Action Replay Codes and Gecko Codes don't workhttps://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/77432014-10-11T22:53:07ZKoradosMarc.Godhusen@gmail.com

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.

On Dolphin, button activated Action Replay Codes and Gecko Codes don't work.

Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?

I tested it on 3.5 and many 4.0 development builds with a variety of Gamecube and Wii games.

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

It appears that Dolphin isn't able to interpret button activated codes correctly. Pressing the code specific buttons don't activate the code.

Emulator - Emulator Issues #7739 (Fixed): Game .ini file deletes input after changinghttps://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/77392014-10-09T23:56:17ZKoradosMarc.Godhusen@gmail.com

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.

When I open a User/Documents Game .ini file through the Properties dialog,
change anything and save the file, the whole input of the file is deleted when I close the file.

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?

I have this problem since Dolphin 4.0 was released.

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?

On Dolphin 3.5, this issue doesn't appear.

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

Here is a screen video of the issue. I demonstrate it with the Gecko Codes here, but also any other input will be deleted upon changing:

Emulator - Emulator Issues #7697 (Working as intended): Rabbids Go Home: Strobe-like flickering d...https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/76972014-09-28T00:40:11ZKoradosMarc.Godhusen@gmail.com

Game Name?

Rabbids Go Home

Game ID?

RGWX41

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.

When EFB to Texture is enabled, there is a stroboscope-like, yellow
flickering on the screen during the cutscenes and the loading screen.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

This issue occurs everytime.

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?

On 3.5, the game crashes after the main menu. Several 4.0 dev builds including 4.0-3400.

What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)

Alienware M17
Intel Core i7-4900 @ 2.80GHz (4.00 GHz Turbo Boost)
32 GB RAM DDR3
NVidia GeForce GTX 765M

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

Oddly enough, the introductory cutscene doesn't flicker, and the first cutscene when you continue an already existing savegame. The cutscenes falter much and sometimes the audio crackles.

EFB to Ram makes the game to run only at 20 %, virtual XFB might solve some issues regarding performance, but doesn't solve the flickering, and real XFB makes the flickering to get even more violent.

Emulator - Emulator Issues #6219 (Fixed): Extreme lag on Dolphin since 3.5-1165https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/62192013-04-06T18:29:15ZKoradosMarc.Godhusen@gmail.com

Game Name?

What went wrong?
Since 3.5-1165, I experience an extreme lag at every Wii game on Dolphin
with the games just running at 30 % and lower. Changing the Video Backend
or any setting don't make a change. When I use OpenGL, the emulation speed even falls down to 15 %.
