Emulator - Emulator Issues #8626 (Duplicate): Harry Potter Sorcerer's Stone texture glitcheshttps://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/86262015-06-04T13:48:34Zguitaristocrat3guitaristocrat3@gmail.com

Game Name?

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Game ID?

GHLE69

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.

Textures in this game are all over the place; random textures will get replaced with other random textures, most commonly seen from my experience when leaving the castle to go to the grounds, coming back inside, and leaving again. I have taken many screenshots which I'll put at the bottom. It also is getting worse the longer I play the game with spots that were normally fine slowly becoming more unstable, like the staircase in the last screenshot.

What did you expect to happen instead?

I expected the game to look normal and not give me nightmares.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Play until you get to Hogwarts and get the ability to leave the castle

Walk outside, walk inside, walk outside

See texture glitches

Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have

4.0-6554, 4.0-6543

Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?

No, from my experience this game has always been buggy but I never made it far enough to see this glitch until recently.

What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)

Linux Ubuntu 14.10
Emulator - Emulator Issues #8591 (Fixed): Burnout 2 Unknown Pointer hardlockhttps://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/85912015-05-23T07:16:49Zguitaristocrat3guitaristocrat3@gmail.com

Game Name?

Burnout 2 - Point of Impact

Game ID?

GB4E51

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.

The emulator hardlocks with error message "Unknown Pointer 0x19cda9e4 PC 0x800cec24 LR 0x800f5700" (program counter and link register can be different values) after revision ac54c6a4e2f6790f628f8a8112ff1940732f5068 by magumagu "Make address translation respect the CPU translation mode" when the second place car reaches the second checkpoint of "Airport Terminal 1 & 2" on "Rain" conditions.

What did you expect to happen instead?

I expected dolphin not to throw errors and have to be closed with system monitor.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

These are the steps I used during bisect

Select single race, choose Supercar w/ automatic transmission

Choose stage "Airport Terminal 1 & 2" and set conditions to "Rain"

Play to the second checkpoint. I always hit the second checkpoint with boost and in first place.

When the person in second place reaches the second checkpoint, the emulator throws infinite error messages and hardlocks.

GSQE78

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.

The game always hangs on the first loading screen with the licensing/copyright info without Skip EFB Access from CPU. Enabling the hack somehow bypasses this screen and lets the game boot, but causes issues such as a black screen instead of a title menu.

What did you expect to happen instead?

Should boot properly without enabling a gross hack that causes graphical glitches.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Start game without Skip EFB Access from CPU checked

Watch it drop to 1%/0FPS and hang on the Licensed by Nintendo screen

Does not work on any builds tested. The oldest test on the wiki is 4.0.2 which does not mention having to use Skip EFB Access, though it does list crashing as an issue.

Audio during gameplay is full of glitches with every tested backend and DSP setting (even tried LLE Interpreter). These glitches can be either a few crackles or pops all the way up to layered sounds playing at extremely high volume. Cutscenes aren't as bad, but as soon as you get to the first stage it's apparent immediately that something's wrong.

What did you expect to happen instead?

Not to blow my speakers.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Start the game up, select new game, choose your wand at the wand store
2.The next room you enter will be full of jumping puzzles and Every Flavored Beans, try grabbing one
3.Listen to the audio die a horrible death from that point onwards

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.

Whenever you try to race on Palm Bay Heights, Dolphin crashes and displays a window saying "Invalid Write to 0x6e017930, PC = 0x800faae4". If I hit OK, the window changes to "Invalid Read at 0x6e01794c, PC = 0x800faae4". The only way to get out of the loop is to manually kill the process dolphin-emu using system monitor.

I've tried setting "Enable MMU" and this keeps the game from showing the Invalid Write/Read errors, but it still freezes and the emulation window has to be closed and restarted, but I don't have to manually kill the process.

What did you expect to happen instead?

Should not crash, obviously.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Start game
2.Finish the Offensive Driving 101 tutorial to unlock Single Race
3.Select Single Race from the menu, choose any car, and choose Palm Bay Heights as the track
4.Dolphin crashes

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.

Every other time I hit the "play" button on Dolphin to start an iso, it crashes to desktop.

This happens consistently where I'll boot a GCN game (not tested with wii games), close the window, Dolphin will ask me to confirm close and everything will function normally, but if I press play again on the same game or a different one it will silently crash. Starting it again lets me play fine for the one time.

What did you expect to happen instead?

Dolphin shouldn't crash, should be able to play two games in one session.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Install Dolphin from PPA on Ubuntu 14.04

Start a game, let it reach the title screen

Close the game

Start another, watch it crash

On the emulation screen the title bar doesn't reach the point where it shows the plugins, I don't know if this is relevant but usually the window displays for me "Dolphin 4.0-4163 | JIT64 DC | OpenGL | HLE | FPS: 60 - VPS: 60 - 100%" right, but when it crashes it doesn't reach that point, it gets to "Dolphin 4.0-4163 | <ISO DIRECTORY>" and then stops and immediately closes on a white emulation window.

No settings seem to affect this.
