Description

Game Name?
Any Game

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

Dumping frames of gameplay results in a low resolution looking video (the actual resolution of it is fine), it looks like a screen with 320~ px wide.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Checking "Dump Frames" and playing something.

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?

5.0-3486, last one I used was 5.0-92, it worked fine on that one.

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

Intel i7 @3.40GHz, Nivida GeForce GTX 1080

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

Did you turn up the bitrate in the ini? There was a law in the old builds where the bitrate was never set, so they dumped at super high quality with no control over it.

BitrateKbps in GFX.ini (which is found in Dolphin Emulator/Config folder).

Try something much higher, like 50000.

That did it, thanks. I'll research a bit to decide what number to use.

  • Status changed from New to Accepted

  • Relates to usability changed from No to Yes

We need a GUI control for this, otherwise it's way too hard to discover. Or maybe we just should set the bitrate to something very high by default.

Setting to Accepted as a usability issue.
