while building from source I always get this message:
Could NOT find wxWidgets: Found unsuitable version "3.0.3", but required is at least "3.1.0" (found -pthread;;;-lwx_gtk2u_core-3.0;-lwx_gtk2u_aui-3.0;-lwx_gtk2u_adv-3.0;-lwx_baseu-3.0)
Using static wxWidgets from Externals
So I cannot use shared wx.
Thing is, version "3.0.3" is the latest major/stable wxwidgets version: https://wxwidgets.org/news/2017/04/new-major-wxpython-release/

This is intended, Dolphin requires new features added in 3.1.0.
