5.0-5611
Is the issue present in the latest stable version?
Yes 5.0 Stable
If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)
[First broken version number here (if applicable)]
If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

Unfortunately your dump doesn't match any known verified dumps of the game.
Go redump your game.

I have it packed in a WBFS file for space constraints.

I have the game for some reason.
Do you have any settings I frown upon enabled, like MSAA and stuff?

Shadows work fine here.

I'm just going to assume this is a setting issue. I've seen the misaligned shadows caused by MSAA/SSAA so often that I'm confident that's the issue.

I do not have either MSAA or SSAA enabled on this laptop. But since you aren't seeing the issue its either a setting issue or something funky with new nvidia drivers. I was on 390.65 and am not on the newest released drivers 390.72. Guess I can take a look and delete the ini files and completely start from scratch and if it still shows up then it must be an nvidia issue.

Apologies for closing it then.
Reopening and awaiting further information from you.

Ok deleting GFX.ini did NOT solve the issue for me. So its NOT an setting issue in Dolphin itself. Let me try using an older driver but since I am on a 1060 I can't get to old.

Have you tried using a different graphics backend? Have you tried messing with settings? EFB?
Updated by Topken over 7 years ago
I have tried both OpenGL and Direct3D and both have the issue. I can try upgading to a newer version than 5.0-5611 and see if that helps.

I'm using latest master and I tried every setting I could to get the bug to occur. I'm on an AMD Vega though.

Ok as of 5.0-6257 the issue persists in both Opengl and Direct3D11 but is non existent in Vulkan. So the issue seems to be a Nvidia one then.

I have a NVIDIA Laptop I can try this on later.
Updated by Topken over 7 years ago
Ok I can wait and see how that goes so it looks like I will be using Vulkan for this one game and OpenGl for everything else for now.

I went to check on my laptop (GTX 1060) and realized I had a save. The original time I tested this WAS on my GTX 1060...
EDIT: I tried every single setting I could. I cannot reproduce your issue. Do you have your NVIDIA Control Panel overriding anything? Do you have any enhancements on? Anything injected into Dolphin, like a screen recorder?
Updated by Topken over 7 years ago
Only ovverride I would have for Dolphin is to use the Nvidia card over the Intel HD IGP. What driver version are you using on the laptop? For now looks like Vulkan will be the backend I use for this game and OpenGL for everything else so not to big of an issue for me personally.

I'm using a GTX 1060 with 388.13. And yeah, I have an IntelHD as well. I uninstalled all the laptop cruft that came with this computer though.

As I said I was using 390.65 and now 390.77 drivers so could you give those a try on OpenGL? Like I said before I wonder if its a problem with newer drivers.

I'm guessing it's much more likely that some "Gaming" feature is interfering with Dolphin. When I first got this laptop with the default Windows install, it had an annoying program that hooked into games to provide recording and it broke the hell out of Dolphin.

I have a Sager and the only things it came with were apps to control the keyboard lighting, To switch between descrete card and MS Hybrid grpahics aka Optimus, and audio drivers/creative x-fi for the headphone out. I did install Razer software for my mouse but I have that disabled as well as the Nvidia overlays. So I don't really have any "Gaming software" on here per say also have some Memory overclocking software but thats it for preinstalled stuff. So yeah they didn't overload the system with anything Gaming related just hardware drivers and apps.

I've left this open because I really don't know what to think about this issue.
Has it improved? Does it still happen?

Still screwy in OpenGL for me. They work fine in Vulkan tho.

Sorry, I have no idea, and none of my computers can reproduce the issue. There's nothing we can do from our end except hope one day it randomly fixes itself.
