Description

Game Name: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

Game ID: G8ME01

MD5 Hash: db9a997a617ee03bbc32336d6945ec02

Problem: Partner textures would flicker and look glitched in the overworld. The issue is slightly helped by disabling Fast Depth Calculations but it results in texture layers not showing right (Goombellas hat over her eyes, Koopas legs over his body)

How to reproduce: A problem I've had since starting the game, can change from the two issues by disabling and enabling Fast Depth Calculations.

Emulation Version: Dolphin 5.0-6309

Yes it is present in this version and was also present in the 5.0 version.

Imgur Album of 3 pictures, basically show the same thing as the FIFOlogs but you can see the flickering when Fast Depth Calculations is on slightly better with the FIFOlog. Important note there is NO flickering at all with that option off.

Can't seem to reproduce this no matter what settings I tweak. Using i5-6600K and iGPU on Windows 10 with D3D.

Can you post yours?

Sure, under Configs I have Dual core disabled since im using and HD texture pack and they mentioned it would stop some stuttering, which it did.(ill actually disable custom textures after this and check if it still happens).

These are the options if have for graphics

Have you tried updating your graphics drivers?

Update:

After completing the first chapter my partner models are suddenly working perfectly fine. Not sure if it will happen again

it's been a month, but I've been having this problem too. were you using any cheat codes when this happened?

  • Status changed from New to Questionable

I still can't reproduce the issue... does anyone have a save in this particular area since it seems to go away later in the game according to other comments?
