Description

Game Name?

Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes and Beyond Good & Evil

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab)

GGSEA4 and GGEE41

MD5 Hash? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab, MD5 Hash: Compute)

0720e3d3fe42587b2ce22fbb8a60b847 and 2142ae6ee5f2ab49583b193d521aec07

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

Days ago I was trying to fix purple screens and codec on metal gear solid: twin snakes and I discovered here in the forum that you need to enable XFB to texture and RAM, but it only works on OpenGL and Direct3D backends. When you enable it on Vulkan you get green screens instead of purple and codec is not fixed, Beyond good and evil also needs it to fix purple screens, but the same happens and only works fine with Direct3D and OpenGL backends.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Just disable XFB copies to texture only on graphics tab and play the game

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

5.0-6362

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

No, 5.0 doesn't have Vulkan backend

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

[First broken version number here (if applicable)]

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

[Attach any fifologs if possible, write a description of fifologs and screenshots here to assist people unfamiliar with the game.]

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

i3 4150 3.50ghz
DDR3 12 GB
AMD R7 260X 2GB VRAM
Windows 10 x64 - Driver Adrenalin 18.2.2
Ubuntu 17.10 - Driver Mesa 17.3.2

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

[Anything else here]

Cannot reproduce. Likely a driver issue or old vulkan issue that's been fixed.

The bug is not fixed, i'm runing latest git 5.0-7899 and latest AMD driver 17.5.1, you need "XFBToTextureEnable = False" on game settings to reproduce.
