Description

Game Name?

Super Mario Sunshine

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab)

GMSE01

MD5 Hash? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab, MD5 Hash: Compute)

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

Super Mario Sushine was very playable on my HTC U11 on version 5.0-6096 (25-30FPS) but there has been a big performance drop since 5.0-6101 (15-20FPS) until the the latest Dolphin version 5.0-7161

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Launch Super Mario Sunshine with Dolphin 5.0-6096, default settings and Emulated CPU Clock Speed at 60% with a Snapdragon 835 smartphone => 25-30FPS in-game, then uninstall and install Dolphin 5.0-6101, default settings and Emulated CPU Clock Speed at 60% with a Snapdragon 835 smartphone => 15-20FPS in-game

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

The issue is present from 5.0-6101 to latest development version 5.0-7161

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

As I know, there is no stable version of Dolphin on Android

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

First broken version 5.0-6101

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

I have put one screenshot of Super Mario Sunshine FPS on version 5.0-6096 and one of Super Mario Sunshine FPS on version 5.0-6101

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

HTC U11 Snapdragon 835 Adreno 540 Android 7

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

I have put one screenshot of Super Mario Sunshine FPS on version 5.0-6096 and one of FPS on version 5.0-6101

This is because settings that Super Mario Sunshine requires for correct behavior now get enabled automatically. If you're getting better performance in older versions, you're probably also having bugs when it comes to e.g. collision detection with goo. You should have the same performance in 5.0-6096 as in 5.0-6101 if you're using proper settings.

You can override this if you want to by creating a custom game INI.

How to override the game INI ? I checked all the CPU and GPU default settings in 5.0-6096 and in 5.0-6101 and they are exactly all the same, I copied the Dolphin.ini file from 5.0-6096, then installed the 5.0-6101 and pasted the Dolphin.ini file in dolphin-emu/Config but there is the same huge performance drop, is it the wrong way to override the game INI ?

Please ask on the forums if you need to know more about how to do it.
