Emulator Issues #11133
closedmacOS - Gecko codes are parsed incorrectly (zeros)
0%
Description
Using Gecko or AR codes in the latest version of dolphin(as of writing this 5.0-7556) makes any game not load it just. It just loads into a black screen. There is no debug or error messages that come up so I can't share them. If i disable all codes the game works fine. If I use DolphinWX the codes work fine. I am now sure what the issue could be. I went back a week and it does the same thing. Now Using Dolphin from October of last year it works fine. I just had that in my archives so that is what I tested it on. If there is someway I can give you a debug report by enabling something let me know and I can give that to you. But not a huge issue since the WX version works fine.

The game I used was Donkey Kong Country Returns (SF8E01), and the code I used was Invincibility (041FF39C 4800009C 041FF438 38800001). The game booted and the code worked as described.

This person is also having these issues: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-not-tech-savvy-need-help
As you can see from SirRandall's last post, Dolphin zeroes out the entire right side of the codes for him as well after being input correctly.
