Game Name?

SoulCalibur II (USA)

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab)

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

Dolphin throws the "failed to submit command buffer" error when entering the Weapon Master Mode, Chapter 2 (Thuban), Mission 2 (Village of Arche).

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Use Vulkan backend
  2. Enable any Anti-Aliasing option under "Enhancements"
  3. Load into Weapon Master Chapter 2, Mission 2 (error will pop right after loading into the stage).

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

Yes, reproduced reliably on 5.0-8490

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

No, 5.0 stable has no Vulkan backend.

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

Due to the nature of the crash I had to record a 600 frame (10 second) fifo log.
The crash was reproduced by HdkR in #dolphin-emu using this log.
It can be downloaded here (31 MB): https://www.dropbox.com/s/qtf5pjeiv2l2t7n/H4ndy-GRSEAF-vulkan-crash.7z?dl=0

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

Intel Core i7-6700K @ 4 GHz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 (EVGA FTW model)
16 GB DDR4-2666
Windows 10 Pro x64 (on latest update 1803)

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

I have attached save file AF-GRSE-sc2_0.dat.gci
It has access to the stage in question and selected character during the tests
Main menu > Weapon Master > Chapter 2 > Mission 2
Simply start the missing, it will crash after loading
