closedAndroid - Vulkan backend black screen on Oneplus 6

Description
Game Name?
Only two games I've tried on Android (F-zero, Pokemon Colosseum)
Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab)
GFZE01, GC6E01
MD5 Hash? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab, MD5 Hash: Compute)

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.
OpenGL-ES works very well on the Oneplus 6 but when using the Vulkan backend the screen is blank apart from the FPS counter and controls. The FPS seems to be hitting max (60fps in both games tested) and I can hear the audio for the games at full speed with occasional stuttering as if shaders were still being compiled, even without a final output image.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Make sure backend is set to Vulkan and run any game on a Oneplus 6.
Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.
5.0-8594 issue still present
Is the issue present in the latest stable version?
Was present on every version I've tried since I got my Oneplus 6 around lunch day (22 May 2018)
If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)
Not found a working version, could possibly exist though
If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer
Attached screenshot, not much more to say about it.
What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)
I am using a Oneplus 6 on OxygenOS 5.1.11 - Android 8.1.0 (problem existed on earlier version as well), using the SD845 chipset.
Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)
Nothing to add

- Status changed from New to Working as intended
yeah that's normal on the latest drivers. Tell them to fix it

Ah, saw the blog post mentioning the OnePlus 5, didn't realise there was a known driver regression

Yeah, it's unfortunate - the One Plus 5 has the older driver version, the One Plus 6, the Pixel 1 and the Pixel 2/XL have the newer driver.

revert your vulkan driver to 1.0, that will fix the problem.

Is this Vulkan driver bug documented anywhere? I'm interested in finding out more about it, if it is. I'm curious to know if it's really a bug, or if it's like a jump in rendering API versions, where changes would need to be made to Dolphin in order to be compatible. I'm only bringing this up since other 3D applications and even emulators have no problem on Android + Vulkan 1.1.

Other emulators and games aren't trying to emulate a Wii.
