Description

Game Name?
Bully: Scholarship Edition

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab)

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

When you load a save state, the player character's torso becomes pitch black (before and after images provided). It seems that the only way to fix this in-game is to re-load your in-game save file.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Make a new game or load any previous in-game save file

  2. When you have control over the player character, make a save state

  3. Load the save state

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

5.0-8596

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

Yes, it is present in stable 5.0

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

[First broken version number here (if applicable)]

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

Any logs I made either didn't capture the bug happening correctly, or they caused a crash from loading a save state while recording.

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

CPU: Intel Core i5-5200U @ 2.2 GHz
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 5500
Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
RAM: 8 GB

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

A similar bug was mentioned in this old issue (https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/5253) which was never resolved.

If it's an EFB Copy then this is expected. We could save EFB Copies to the state maybe, but only with EFB2RAM.

This is fixed by 5.0-10707. We can now store EFB Copies/XFB Copies in the savestate.
