Description

Game Name?

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab)

MD5 Hash? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab, MD5 Hash: Compute)

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

In Metroid Prime, you receive a Thermal Visor that should change the textures accordingly, showing everything in orange/purple shades. The moment I activate this, the game will freeze and Dolphin.exe crashes.

After reading about other issues related to the thermal visor in Metroid, I tried toggling some graphical setting, notably "EFB Copies to Texture Only", but when I start the game I see a message that says "Note: Option "EFBToTextureEnable" is overriden by game ini"

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Obtain the thermal visor in the Phendrana Drifts world and switch to it(press and hold '-' and point the wiimote to the bottom left of the screen). Obviously, this requires a few hours of playing, but I can share a save state it that will help. But I can't share it here because of the 5MB

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

Other issues prevent me from testing this in the development version.

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

Yes, Dolphin 5.0 Stable release Windows 64-bit

[Attach any fifologs if possible, write a description of fifologs and screenshots here to assist people unfamiliar with the game.]

I tried using the FIFO tools to record but when I enable the thermal visor, the entire Dolphin.exe process crashes, so it never stops recording.

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

Intel Core i5-4308U CPU @ 2.90 GHz
Intel Iris Graphics 5100
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
(running via BootCamp, on a MacBook Pro)

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

I do have a save state for right before it happens, but I cannot share it because it is 25 MB and the limit here is 5MB. Please let me know what else I can share.

What are the other issues that prevent you from testing this in the latest development version?

Uploading a regular save file would be more useful than uploading a savestate, and it would be much smaller too. You can export a save file by right-clicking on the game and selecting "Export Wii save".

There is considerable audio and video stuttering on the latest development version. I managed to play through that, and yes I can confirm this issue still happen on 5.0-8604.

I have attached the Wii save state, but you have to play through 10 minutes of gameplay to get from the save point to the thermal visor. It's relatively straight forward, but it takes some time still.

This save state was done with 5.0 stable.
