Description

Game Name?

[Wiimms MKW-Fun 2018-09.v3.usa [RMCE38].ciso]

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab)

[RMCE38]

MD5 Hash? (right click the game in the game list, properties, info tab, MD5 Hash: Compute)

[361403d7b5f13a0516238800772b415c]

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

[When trying to connect to Wiimmfi it continuously fails. I opened logs and watched debug and I noticed many questionable error messages I am not sure how to deal with. I have included log file with as many details is I can.]

What steps will reproduce the problem?

[Get a Mario Kart Wii Iso - Patch With Wiimms MKW-Fun 2018-09.v3.usa on ticktockdom distros - Install Dolphin Nand - use NUS to get Certs - Load Game - Go to Wiimmfi - Wait 7 Days - Launch game again - Go to Wiimfi - Recieve Error Code 23915: Wiimmfi: Abuse of a console identifier.]

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

[Dolphin 5.0-9206]

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

[No]

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

[I started playing and testing around version 5.0-9162]

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

[Attach any fifologs if possible, write a description of fifologs and screenshots here to assist people unfamiliar with the game.]

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

[See "System Specifications.txt"]

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

[See "dolphin.log"]

Isn't that the issue when you don't use a real Wii NAND? I know there are some rather stringent requirements.

I would have though the same thing except today I did get on but some error code in dolphin popped up during session 8x somthing or another I know it ended in 7 I even managed to get my friend code before I restarted emulator.

If you don't have keys from a real Wii, it won't allow you on, which is what this seems like. Did you install a NAND dumped from your Wii?

I checked the log and nothing appears strange as I get the same issues. You're using the latest version of the patcher, right? I know they had issues where they had to update it.

Okay now I know something is wrong because I got this now instead

Yes I am using the patcher from here https://download.wiimm.de/wiimmfi/patcher/mkw-wiimmfi-patcher-v6.zip

You'll get a lot of various errors when connecting to servers like this. Dolphin doesn't support async operations for net, which results in those annoying stutters when connecting. Those may not be related whatsoever to the actual problem. The Wiimmfi supplied error is likely the biggest clue.

23915 is the error Wiimmfi sends when it detects anything weird about your NAND / your system. In the case of Dolphin, this is usually caused by either not using an actual Wii's NAND, or by not having the Wii's MAC address in the Dolphin config, or something similar. Error codes 8xxxx and 7xxxx are connection issues and are most likely caused by a bad connection, not due to an issue with Dolphin. As for the hundreds of socket errors in the Dolphin log, I don't know where these are from.
