Description

Game Name?

Gecko OS

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

Gecko throws errors when trying to launch it. After closing or ignoring the errors, Dolphin will crash.
Two errors appear, shown here:

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Launch Gecko OS with Super Smash Bros. Brawl as the default ISO.

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

5.0-9995

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

No

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

The last working version was, to my memory, 5.0-9986.
I missed updates 5.0-9988 and 5.0-9993, so one of these two versions causes the error, or the error could be caused 5.0-9995.

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

NVIDIA RTX 2060

I should note that literally ignoring the error (not hitting the ignore button) will seem to allow the game to continue to run although I still occasionally get crashes, I am at least able to play the game.

Do you have stereoscopy enabled by any chance?

Where is this option located?

I believe it's somewhere in graphics and enhancements. Regardless, Stenzek will look into it.

I'm wondering if this is a bad-entries-in-cache issue.

Could you try two things:

1) Remove all files in Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Cache\Shaders

and if that doesn't have any effect,

2) Remove Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Cache\00000000.uidcache

That seems to have solved the error. Thank you.

It's quite strange this error would not cause any issues before, and eventually going away as described in my previous support ticket about it, only to suddenly come back and start crashing Dolphin. I wonder why.

@Stenzek

Are we saying there is nothing to fix or is there something to be done about bad cache entries being used?
