[Build 5.0-10063 started giving a GFX FIFO unknown opcode error on the attached WAD]

What steps will reproduce the problem?

[1. Download the attached WAD file
2. Load it on 5.0-10063 and it will give a GFX FIFO unknown opcode error]

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

[5.0-10125]

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

[Probably Not]

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

[5.0-10063]

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

[Attach any fifologs if possible, write a description of fifologs and screenshots here to assist people unfamiliar with the game.]

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

[i5 7500 GTX 1070 Windows 10 1809 8GB DDR4]

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

Forgot to mention that without the mod (http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=212860#_=_) on the virtual SD card, it will just boot you back to the home menu on builds before 5.0-10063, but 5.0-10063 and later will still give a GFX FIFO UNKNOWN OPCODE error.

I'm assuming this is a full bisect and 5.0-10061 works fine? I mean, the change you referenced makes sense as something that would affect FIFO stuff, but it's been hardware tested to actually be a valid change. The problem is we could have uncovered a bug elsewhere, or the homebrew may also be flawed/broken.

Also if you use the Open Homebrew Channel in Dolphin and load the dol like you would on console, does the unknown opcode happen?

#4 Updated by MarkH123456 about 2 years ago

The dol causes no issue even after 5.0-10063, its only the wad forwarder that has issues after 5.0-10063. I haven't tested the wad on console, it came with the ishiiruka netplay build of the Legacy XP. Yes 5.0-10061 works perfectly.

Well it's worth testing it on console to make sure it works.

Whether or not it works on Ishiiruka is unimportant because it has the known to be buggy fifo behavior like the older Dolphin builds.
