What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

Dolphin crashes when closing

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Load a game (backend agnostic), close the game window, close the Dolphin window, now a crash dialog pops up

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

Yes, dolphin-master-5.0-10599-x64

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

Happened to me ON and OFF on Dolphin history

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

It came back a few dev versions before the MotionPlus merge, during version 10000-10100

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

Operating System: Windows 7 x64 SP1
CPU: Intel i5-4670K
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

OpenGL or DX11 indistinctly, Dual Core enabled or disabled. Using VSync.

Does it only happen when using that theme, or is it just that you haven't tested without that theme?

I'm testing currently, but I don't think so. Happens on Wii (I'm using a nand dump on the Wii Dolphin folder), not so in GameCube Dolphin folder.

I wonder if this is some Windows 7 behavior. If you were to compile Dolphin and run it, we'd be able to get a stack trace. It's possible this is related to libUSB issues too, which may be resolved by https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/8218

I'm still testing and I'm not getting crashes, today I will test some more. Basically I disabled the theme skin for my Wii Dolphin setup, and enabled on my GC Dolphin setup (where I rarely if ever get crashes).

Just got a crash on the Wii setup without the theme skin, I think it has to do with the Nand (I'm using a dump from my Wii) or maybe Qt on Windows7.

I think it might be related to uncapping FPS (Disable Frame limit) which I use to fast forward frequently.

I'm unable to reproduce this issue.

We need a set of instructions that is guaranteed to let us debug the issue, or you would need to run it with a debugger attached yourself to tell us why it is crashing.

Close it, I'm a bit out of touch currently and haven't experienced the issue as often (probably as I game less).

Yeah, I apologize.

I don't think the issue has been fixed, but there's not much we can do about it without being able to reproduce it. The issue tracker is just cluttered with things we can do nothing about and we're doing some spring cleaning. But please, if you find the culprit or any new details for the issue, feel free to open the issue again.
