The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, Properties, Info tab)

GZ2P01

MD5 Hash? (right click the game in the game list, Properties, Verify tab, Verify Integrity button)

f9c47b0c8a34d345c06061f24e0db277

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

Glitches.
-Minimap flicker (only DX11)
-Shadow partially missing (only DX11)
-Character on reflective background, glitches on silhouette (tested on OpenGL)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Just enable the mentioned backends.

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

Yes, dolphin-master-5.0-10599-x64

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

Haven't tested

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

[Attach any fifologs if possible, write a description of fifologs and screenshots here to assist people unfamiliar with the game.]

Check attachments.

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

Operating System: Windows 7 x64 SP1
CPU: Intel i5-4670K
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

I'm using Windows7, it is known that Dolphin is using advanced non Win7-available DX11 functions, rendering this backend as glitched (haven't tested this game on other OS)
On the other hand the next alternative is to use OpenGL, this is the most robust backend but it doesn't support async shaders for those with NVidia cards.
(Vulkan has its own set of glitches and doesn't support async shaders on Nvidia either)

To clarify, that's a won't fix unless you can reproduce the issue on an OS that isn't Windows 7 (or Vista). We do not offer full support for those anymore.

Is Win7 officially dead for Dolphin DX11? (assuming this is the reason of the "Won't Fix")

More or less, yes. It still works fine for some games, but we are not going to do anything about the situations where it doesn't work due to us using functions that aren't available on Windows 7.

I see, I haven't read anywhere about Win10 being the minimum supported Windows OS.
Unfortunately I can't test on it. I will stop upgrading Dolphin since matters will likely go worse.

Windows 8 is the oldest version of Windows that is fully supported. Windows 7 is still somewhat supported, but with limitations on Direct3D and Bluetooth that aren't going to be fixed.

DX 11.3 is supported on Windows 8?

No, but Dolphin doesn't use 11.3.
