What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Mark "Fix item hang" from the patches list of Wind Waker in Dolphin and
begin emulation
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
r3879-x86, Vista
Please provide any additional information below.
If you try use a state from when you had sound, it will start to gradually
disappear while using the item hang patch or cheats.

Easier said than done.
Without the patch, It stucks up past the movie scenes and after exiting the item menu.
