What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

See attached screenshot. There is a purple bar at the bottom of the previously mentioned games. Immediately present XFB enabled does not have this problem. Software Renderer does not have this problem but all other video backends do. Problem is independent of dual/single core, internal resolution, and EFB settings. I tried to record a FIFO log but the problem doesn't appear there.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Play either previously mentioned game. Problem will not occur with Immediately present XFB enabled.
  2. Observe purple bar at the bottom of the screen.

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

Yes, 5.0-11393

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

No, 5.0

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

https://dolphin-emu.org/download/dev/master/5.0-10000/

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

I tried to record a FIFO log but the problem doesn't appear there.

Does it appear when XFB to texture only is dissabled?

XFB to Texture = Problem occurs
XFB to Texture + Immediately Present XFB = Problem does not occur
XFB to RAM = Problem occurs (but line is green instead of purple)
XFB to RAM + Immediately Present XFB = Problem does not occur

It's possible this is supposed to be cropped. The green suggests this may happen on console, too. I can't even use the USB Gecko to check since immediate XFB off means that it's not a part of the EFB, only the XFB.

I cannot reproduce the issue in latest development builds.

Me neither, so I'm closing the issue. Please leave a comment if this is still happening.
