What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.
Game hardlocks when attempting to communicate with a DS to send out the かめにんマーチャント! minigame, or when attempting to exchange data with it.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Load the attached save file, slot 20.
- Walk a bit to the right and talk to the the Turtlez kid at the front of the dock.
- Confirm the name entry box that comes up, then answer the question whether to play the minigame with Yes (first option).
- Then in the menu that comes up, select any of the three options that mentions the DS and confirm.
- The game will crash.
Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.
Yes, 5.0-11622
Is the issue present in the latest stable version?
No idea, but presumably.
Now, I didn't expect this to actually work as DS communications aren't implemented, but I didn't expect it to crash like that. I suppose the game assumes that initiating the WiFi for DS communication never fails? Regardless, this mostly acts as a reminder that this is one of the handful games to test if we ever implement DS communications.

Updated by leoetlino about 4 years ago
With the current version of the PR, the game no longer crashes when initialising DS communication but hangs when DS communication is cancelled.

Back to accepted since the crash isn't fixed, it just happens later now.
