Emulator Issues #11999
closedReal Wii Remote Re-connection
0%
Description
What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.
- A real wii remote does not connect unless the app is exited and reloaded.
- In addition, the remote does not connect once it has been turned off and the app has been exited. In order to fix this wii remote 1 must be set to 'none' then dolphin is exited.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
After connecting the wii remote through bluetooth (in windows 10), real wii remote is selected and continuous scanning is checked. Dolphin must be exited and then re-brought up for the remote to connect. This problem reoccurs when the wii remote is turned off, then turned back on for another gaming session. Real wii remote must be unchecked, exit dolphin, reopen dolphin, then the process must be repeated in order for it to be recognized in game by dolphin.

Using the Windows bluetooth stack is known to be very buggy, not much we can do about this. You could try bluetooth passthrough and see if it's compatible with your adapter, though do keep in mind this dedicates the adapter to Dolphin only.
