Popup error: Invalid read from 0x900000ac, PC = 0x800ab160

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Use VBAM-WX-2.0.0-beta2 (the only emulator version that connects to dolphin, altough unstable as it crashes every time I try to restart the gba game, while newer versions don't connect at all).
Use the link mode and insert the local host 127.0.0.1 (doesn't work with local mode).
Connect.
Upon connection, the popup error appears.

I tried 5.0-11836 and very old ones with the same result. I doubt it got fixed in some days.
