FMVs don't play by default. Remedy: Disable Immediately Present XFB Copies
"Movie" style super widescreen FMVs have purple bars instead of black bars. Remedy: Disable Store XFB Copies to Texture Only. Though I find it weird this is needed when the XFB copies aren't being modified and the video itself plays fine.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

In order to see the purple cutscenes, you have to get through the tutorial which is a pain because the controls are very awkward. Z + A makes someone give up, A then arrests if you get stuck.
