yes (v5.0-12665)

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

No (v5.0)

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

[First broken version number here (if applicable)]

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

[Attach any fifologs if possible, write a description of fifologs and screenshots here to assist people unfamiliar with the game.]

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,

I was able to get around the problem with this method

Hi there, I am having a similar issue with the Phoenix Wright WiiWare release, Game ID WGSE08. The game is comprised of multiple episodes, the 5th of which is locked behind a DLC purchase. Dolphin reports that the DLC WAD has been installed successfully, however this isn't reflected in-game.

Steps to duplicate

  1. Install the DLC WAD under Tools -> Install WAD...
  2. Run the game, select a Court Record (save file)
  3. If the DLC Install was successful, there should be an option below New Game labeled Episode 5 Rise from the Ashes.

The steps listed above work fine in 5.0 Stable, what I did to work around the issue was install the WAD in a clean portable instance of 5.0 Stable, then I copied the User\Wii contents to a clean portable

I tried toggling all log types and each level of verbosity, but I wasn't able to get anything relevant to output in the logs. Regardless, at least with Phoenix Wright, this issue is very duplicatable with a clean Dolphin setup on the latest builds.

Apparently I didn't finish one of my sentences. Ahem.

Correction:
The steps listed above work fine in 5.0 Stable, what I did to work around the issue was install the WAD in a clean portable instance of 5.0 Stable, then I copied the User\Wii contents to a clean portable instance of the latest Dolphin dev build.

I believe I have figured out what's happening here, see https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/9261

I only have Mega Man 9 but that fixes the issue for that game at least. Can you test if it also fixes Phoenix Wright?

Windows build: https://dl.dolphin-emu.org/prs/de/46/pr-9261-dolphin-latest-x64.7z

Note that you will have to re-install the WAD (or, to be more specific, any WAD) so that the fix gets 'applied' to the NAND.
