What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

USB2.0 Mouse movement stutters while Dolphin is open.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Boot Dolphin

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

Yes, 5.0-13242

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

No, 5.0

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

Tool thread heading states the tool is currently broken so I didn't try.
But I've been dealing with this issue for a few months now I believe, I think build 12887 does not have the bug.

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

i7-5700HQ, GTX 950M, Windows 8.1

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

It seems to only apply to my USB2.0, and USB3.0 "Supercharger" port, using my 2 other USB3.0 ports doesn't cause the issue. This is all on a GP72 2QE Leopard Pro laptop form MSI.
https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GP72-2QE-Leopard-Pro/
Since it is port-specific, I can't imagine it's happening on many other PCs... And the ports that don't experience the bug are the ports that I use with my GC-Adapter and controllers, whose devices I have applied Zadig to.
I'm wondering if it's related to this bug: https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/12234

Please bisect when it happened. You don't don't need to use the bisect tool.

Try to find the first build which introduced the problem. Start verifying if 5.0-12887 does experience the bug. If it does have the bug try halfway between 12887 and 13242 and download the build and verify if the problem is there. If the bug is present half the difference between it and 13242, if it is not present half the difference between it and 12887. Rinse and repeat

I think 10337 works, 10344 breaks it.

This is probably not related directly to Dolphin but libusb -> https://dolphin-emu.org/download/dev/aca46b11f869a31be3e98af756c4fdfe5c6ed22a/

I'm not sure if there's anything we can do other than update libusb again and hope it fixes your issue (dubious) and doesn't break more stuff.

Is there any more information I could provide? A log?
Would changing the installed driver do anything?

This is likely an issue with libusb and not dolphin. There's not much we can do about it.

I think this should be reopened until such a time as dolphin's included libusb is updated or the issue is reported upstream.

Knowing this is a valid issue and burying it means it will not be resolved (even though it's a 3rd party library).
