What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

When upscaled, I am experiencing inexplicable lag on my 16:10, 1200p monitor, regardless of being in or out of fullscreen. On my 4k 16:9 monitor however, I experience no lag at all. While Vulkan is in use, the lag starts at the intro video on the screen. With Direct 3D 12 it starts at the part where the menu select portion appears (after that mini-cutscene is over). Upon reverting to the latest stable build (5.0) for testing, I tried it with the only tweaked setting being the video set to audio with the OpenGL Backend and experienced the same issue (lag started similarly to Vulkan).

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Have upscaling set to auto or 4k for that matter.

  2. Move the window onto a 16:10 monitor at 1200p.

That's about all I can say.

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

Yes - 5.0-13309

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

Yes - 5.0

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

CPU: Intel Core i9-9880H
GPU: Nvidia Quadro RTX 4000 [Lenovo]
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Education (x64) Build 18363.1256 (1909/November 2019 Update)
RAM: 4x32 (128 GB total) DDR4-2666 / PC4-21300 DDR4 SDRAM SO-DIMM
16:10 Displays: Asus ProArt PA246Q
16:9 Display: ThinkPad P73 Display (4k)

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

See attached for the settings in regards to the latest Dev build. Given that all it took was setting the upscaling to Auto when I tested this with 5.0 I don't believe it can be attributed to any other thing. This issue does happen with resolutions other than Auto though, I just had it at that throughout the durration of my testing.

UPDATE:
I tried figuring out the points in which it lags. As it turns out, at Native it lags when put into fullscreen. It's not until 4x that the lag starts to become noticable when windowed.

This is probably some kind of power issue with your laptop + GPU clocking down. I cannot reproduce this behavior. I suggest using the forums for support on issues like this because it's likely someone else has figured out some setting in Windows or your bios to solve this. https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/
