Description

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

I can't map anything in controller settings using my wireless DS4 controller, attempting to do so results in dolphin freezing until the input time has run out.
It happens when using bluetooth, wired, DS4windows and even when using dolphin through steam.

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

Yes, it's present for me in both 5.0 and 5.0-13178

It happens even when not inputting anything, dolphin freezes when just left-clicking (to detect input) anything in the controller config when I have my controller as device.
This does not happen with keyboard & mouse.

Dolphin is meant to freeze and wait for input when left clicking mapping buttons.

What does right-clicking the button show? Does the new dialog that appears respond to your controller?
Show video/screenshots please.

If it's meant to freeze then this is probably just an issue of dolphin not detecting controller inputs for some reason. Right clicking doesn't seem to help.

When attempting to map buttons in the video below, I am pressing buttons on my DS4 controller.

Dolphin 5.0 is very old and not relevant.

Please show the right-click menu in a recent build of Dolphin.
Press some buttons on your controller when in that dialog to see if they respond. You don't have to click the "Detect" button.

Well, I got controller inputs working now as long as I use DS4windows on a recent dolphin build.
Strange that it doesn't without DS4windows as I've read it should be a simple plug & play thing with dolphin, but hey, as long as it works.
