What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.
The screen will turn purple anytime the cursor is on screen. The cursor remains visible.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Start the game, as soon as the name entry screen appears the screen will be purple. Bringing the cursor off screen will display fine.
Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.
5.0-13669
Is the issue present in the latest stable version?
No, 5.0
If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)
The first broken build is 5.0-5874 -> https://dolphin-emu.org/download/dev/609a17a0cd41a12c0fbf9a7c47c8889232594778/
The revisions before hybrid XFB will display the screen normally regardless of XFB settings. It could used to run in none, virtual XFB or Real XFB.
Currently:
Immediate XFB will display OK but the cursor is removed.
XFB Copies to Texture Only = Purple Screen.
XFB Copies to Texture Only + Immediately Present XFB = Displays screen OK but no cursor.
XFB Copies to RAM(and Texture) = No Problem
XFB Copies to RAM(and Texture) + Immediately Present XFB = Displays screen OK but no cursor.
(Bringing the cursor onscreen also makes things a little blurrier even in 1x IR.)
If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_L96wgSu0U&feature=emb_title
Screenshots are pretty much just a purple screen. But here's a video showing the issue.
Fifologs also won't work due to it being an XFB issue.
What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)
i7-8750H
GTX 1060
Windows 10
8GB DDR4
Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)
Ask for more info if required.

Are you sure XFB off and virtual XFB used to work correctly? The pointer should be missing.
Making the screen blurrier does sound weird as the XFB in RAM should be the same as a 1x copie in VRAM though I'm not sure if the copie to ram is lossless.
XFB to Texture and RAM just needs to be set for this game or someone could implement partial XFB support.

Chroma subsampling is applied to XFB copies.
