What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. The problem appears to be random in R3896, If I load (for instance)
    starfox Assault (GC, NTSC) sometimes it will load and will play at near
    full speeds, other times it will load and go like a slideshow, but nothing
    has changed inbetween, I simply close the program and load it back up.
    I also note that the x64 build runs very slowly ANYWAY, but the x86 version
    exhibits the behaviour noted above.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
A constant effect - either running a game slowly or well, but instead the
emu seems to randomly go well or slow, e.g. if I savestate then reload that
state, sometimes it is running ok, othertimes very slowly.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
R3896 on Windows 7 x64, tested both x86 and x64, x64 runs starfox very
slowly, x86 seems to randomly decide how well it wants to run!

Note: The PC is a dual core (2.33Ghz Intel C2D) with an 8800 GTS and 2Gb RAM

As a note, the X86 version has a perfect transition between the first encounter with
oikonny's ship in space then going to the planet, but the X64 version freezes.
After passing this on the X86 and reloading the save (through the mem card) on to
X64, X64 runs fine. Maybe this is related to the issue?
