Description

Game Name?

[Wii Sports Resort]

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, Properties, Info tab)

[RZTE01]

MD5 Hash? (right click the game in the game list, Properties, Verify tab, Verify Integrity button)

[2b0d2fc2190414aa922714462013cfc7]

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

[In Wii Sports Bowling, textures in the bowling alley pin area for your player and adjacent lanes shows texture corruption, cycles through other textures in the gameplay area]

What steps will reproduce the problem?

[Start Wii Sports Resort, Go to Bowling, once in gameplay start a bowling session and see the corruption right away when looking at the bowling lane]

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

[Yes, persists in 5.0-14394 Development Version]

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

[Yes, persists in Beta 5.0-14344 - cannot run 4 year old stable on this platform]

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

[Broken in all Apple Silicon versions with Vulkan and Molten VK support]

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

[See Attachments]

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

[iMac 2021: 8 Core M1, M1 8 Core GPU, MacOS 11.4, 16GB RAM]

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

[Attachments has a video file also. I tried disabling multicore and tried all the graphics hacks and the texture safe, none made a difference. Only solution was to revert to OpenGL which had other issues due to Apple deprecating OpenGL features]

The attached FIFO log plays back correctly on my Intel and AMD GPUs. This might be an Apple Silicon exclusive problem (possibly driver bug?).

Dolphin 5.0-14669

Intel i9
Intel UHD 630 / AMD Radeon Pro 5500M
macOS 11.4

Assuming it's Molten VK + Apple Silicon specific - was able to repro on a Macbook Air as well (M1/Apple Silicon)

On 5.0.15682 that uses Vulkan built at build time vs a precompiled NOW no longer shows these graphic artifacts, so this is closed and fixed against some build that occured recently - confirmed fixed by using a recent Vulkan as part of the standard build process
