What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

All settings are set to default, except for the Internal Resolution. The issue is that if resolution is set to anything above NATIVE, blue vertical lines will appear in-between each letter of any text on the game screen. This issue seems to fix itself if you set the internal resolution to Native or 1x. This happens across all hardware backend renderers (OpenGL, Vulkan D3D11, & D3D12). This issue also happens regardless if we're using Ubershaders or not. FPS is not an issue, meaning actual gameplay is smooth.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Leave all other settings to default. Increase to Internal Resolution to 2x, 3x, or even 4x.

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

Yes, latest dev builds should be fine. But for reference, I am testing against ver 5.0-15183, 64 bit.

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

Intel i5-1135G7, Nvidia MX330, 16GB RAM, Windows 10.

  • Subject changed from Blue Vertical Lines On Texts to Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance - Blue Vertical Lines On Texts
  • Status changed from New to Questionable

This could just be due to imprecisions in how the game renders text. They have gaps that are invisible due to the low resolution nature of the console. This might not be fixable without modifying the game in some way.

If you set Texture Cache Accuracy to Safe, does it still occur?

  • Status changed from Questionable to Invalid

No response, and likely just issues with how the game has been coded. A game patch might be necessary.
