Description

Game Name?

Rune Factory Frontier

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, Properties, Info tab)

RUFEMV (0001000052554645)

MD5 Hash? (right click the game in the game list, Properties, Verify tab, Verify Integrity button)

0111bb9782390d4aca6ed6e863af91b3

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

After entering the game the performance is fine but after some seconds walking the fps starts to decrease and it drops to around 17-20 frames per second. If you exit the area or open the menu the performance of the game returns to normal but then it suddenly drops again. This wasn't happening with me before so tried to use the beta version instead of the latest development version but for some motive it still is happening.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Exit the house and walk for a while on the field in the south part near the river or enter in a dungeon and walk for a while

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

Yes, 15467

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

Yes

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

[First broken version number here (if applicable)]

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

[Attach any fifologs if possible, write a description of fifologs and screenshots here to assist people unfamiliar with the game.]

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

Ryzen 5 3500u, Radeon 540x, Windows 10, 10gb of usable ram DDR4 2400mhz (8gb+4gb).

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

The backends that i used were Direct 3D 11, Direct 3D 12 and Vulkan. Also before sending this report i tried to replicate the issue again and while using vulkan in the latest beta version the problem didn't happened but then i tested it again and it occurred.

I could not personally reproduce this. Using 6x IR, dual core on/off, and running around in various places (house, field, dungeon). It's possible the drop was too small for my machine. I will attempt more testing later.

Since this wasn't happening before i think that the problem may be because of some system or graphics driver update. I will try to send a video of it later but for now i can send the configurations that i am using:

You can see that when i enter in the other area the fps becomes smooth but in the homestead it keeps fluctuating

Finally got around to testing this.

Homestead is a more demanding area, so it's likely the user's PC in this case could just barely run some areas full speed where as other areas were not. Depending on how many vertices were on screen among other factors probably.
