What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

When checking for new updates under "Help" > "Check for Updates..." it will always check for new Development builds, not Beta or Stable.
This is particularly annoying when playing with other people over Netplay, I'm on a newer version (Beta) so they check for updates that way and end up downloading an even newer build and then I have to update again as well.

Might be useful to add a Button to select which channel you want to use (Stable/Beta/Development) but that's more nitpicky.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Set Dolphin to auto-update for "Beta" or "Stable" Releases
  2. Click on "Help" at the top
  3. Click on "Check for Updates..."
  4. Done! It will try to install Development builds and not Beta/Stable

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

Yes, Dolphin 5.0-16077 (there's two newer development builds available but neither are about this Issue)

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

Not in 5.0 because the option isn't there.

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

I assume the version when Auto-updating was introduced. Let me know if I should double-check that.

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer
