Description

Game Name?

Klonoa

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, Properties, Info tab)

R96EAF

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

When starting Klonoa from movie>start recording input, the game doesn't start up and is stuck on a black screen.

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

It's present in 5.0-16143.

[First broken version number here (if applicable)]

The first version where it doesn't work is 5.0-5114. I was able to start a TAS without a problem on 5.0-5108

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

I was able to start a TAS in any Dolphin version if it's from a netplay game. Without netplay, I haven't found any setting which has worked. I tested mostly with controller slot 1 set to either Gamecube controller or Wii remote.

Try turning off dualcore.

I had already tried it without dual core.

I believe that's when the blank NAND was started for the TASes iirc. If that's it, you probably need to modify the blank NAND to be more complete.

This is possibly actually this causing the issue (same commit regression happened): https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/12822

Do this PR fix this? https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/10839

(Possibly not language specifically considering the game ID given is NTSC-U, although other SYSCONF settings might be in a bad position due to 5.0-5114 not setting them correctly for TASes?)
