Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Start a Gamecube game
  2. Framedump for at least 5 minutes
    3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Dolphin is expected to dump frames until emulation is stopped. Instead it
sometimes crashes and renders the "This program has encountered a problem"
dialogue.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SVN R 3486 x86 WinXP Pro

Please provide any additional information below.
After crashing the video file becomes corrupted and unplayable. Probably
an incomplete frame write? Strange though because I can't even dub the
first frame without a file opening error. Header corruption?

I would like to do some preliminary investigation before spending time on this issue:

Is this issue still occurring in the current revision?
What game and where abouts in the game does Dolphin crash?
Does the game run normally if framedumping is not enabled?
What resolution are you running Dolphin at?
Are you using OpenGL or D3D or does it crash using both?
How big is the AVI file when it crashes?
Will a crash occur eventually or is it intermittent?

I found one bug in the OpenGL framedumper. The D3D framedumper functioned fine.
Have put the fix in r4905.
