Description

[Spider-Man]

[GSME52]

[3adc8c214b6eb3e21e9b407b7657eff7]

[Upon initial boot up of the game everything appeared to be working fine and no audio or visual issues I noticed. I had the game running in 4K with at a smooth 60 FPS on an Apple M1 MacBook Pro and generally leave the Aspect Ratio setting on Auto. It appears this game in particular has no built in display settings. Basically anytime there was camera movement, perhaps as a result of the additional on screen rendering, the aspect ratio would flicker very fast between 4:3 & 16:9 to the point it's unplayable.}

[The issue was immediately preset as soon as gameplay began for a new file. No training mode straight into the story on regular difficulty. I don't think anything in particular needs to be done to trigger it]

[Present in Dolphin Version: 5.0-19368]

[Unsure if present in the latest official Dolphin release.]

[Not sure what more I can do to assist. I didn't play for long at all but it appeared to perform correctly when locked to either the 4:3 or 16:9 aspect. Tried taking a screeshot but got a standard still almost as if it's changing every frame]

Thanks for the report. This appears to be the widescreen detection algorithm getting confused, which is a known problem in some games. I'll combine this bug report into our widescreen heuristic mega-issue.

As you've found, you can set the aspect ratio to something other than automatic to workaround the problem for now.
