Description

Game Name?

Everybody Votes Channel

Game ID? (right click the game in the game list, Properties, Info tab)

HAJE

MD5 Hash? (right click the game in the game list, Properties, Verify tab, Verify Integrity button)

Meh

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

Booting Everybody Votes Channel and getting prompted to do a setting of your region or plain launching Region Selector will take me to the Wii Menu. I had to delete region selector data and try once again. In past, I could fix this by removing nandbootinfo, which doesn't take effect now. I have launched the WAD manually but the only thing which properly is working is using rgnsel booter which is homebrew. I'm getting 109144 even after doing a connection test, which should be registering your Wii Number and was properly doing that before

What steps will reproduce the problem?

I'm not sure what reproduces it other than going on Everybody Votes Channel or booting Region Selector WAD, but it could be because of the NAND dump I'm using.

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

Yes 20130

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

N/A

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

MacBook Pro 14-inch 2021

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

I don't know.

Sorry I kind of flip flopped around the issue, I was testing it while I had been writing it, I know region selector had fixed this problem before.

The issue with the console registering still appears on the latest version.

Request Register User ID has not yet been implemented. This is why 109144 is still appearing after triggering the call to the function.

If you have a registered nwc24msg.cfg does it work?

It should, yes.

According to research I did for the wiki in early March 2024 (before I was pushed out of the wiki on grounds that were at least somewhat dubious), Error 109144 seems to me to be caused by Dolphin's default NAND having a Friend Code of 0000 0000 0000 0000, which Nintendo's upstream servers doesn't accept for Region Selector registration (incl. in Mario Kart Wii), or for Wii Mail.

I'm very certain that a dumped NAND would fix Error 109144, as a dumped NAND would generally include a proper Friend Code.
