What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.
Immediately after all the company logos that show up when you start the game, the following error pops up:
"
An error occured.
Negative fifo.CPReadWriteDistance = -64 in FIFO Loop !
That can produce instability in the game. Please report it.
Condition: distance >= 0
File: d:\Source\Core\VideoCommon\Fifo.cpp
Line: 345
Function: operator ()
Ignore and continue?
"
If I select "Ignore for this session", the game hangs. It simply shows a black screen.
Rarely, the following warning gets shown (sometimes right before, sometimes instead of) the above one:
"
GFX FIFO: Unknown Opcode (0xff @ 0x2000511f0024, preprocess=false).
This Error is usually caused by the emulated GPU desynching with the emulated CPU. Turn off the "Dual Core" setting to avoid this.
Further errors will be sent to the Video Backend log and Dolphin will now likely crash or hang.
"
Also rarely, the game sometimes makes it to the opening sequence without errors.
The errors do not occur when I turn off "Enable Dual Core". I'm unsure if this needs to be added to the game's Default Config or if the error is unique to my PC.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Ensure "Enable Dual Core" in Dolphin's Config settings.
- Launch the game.
- Wait for the company logos to finish being shown.
Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.
Yes. 2412-130

Yes. 2412
If the issue isn't present in the latest release, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)
[First broken version number here (if applicable)]
If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer
I am unable to record any fifologs, as the game hangs after the error, and the FIFO Player simply never finishes recording then.
