Description

Hi

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

[every time I want to update dolphin, I have a message error]

What steps will reproduce the problem?

[Just try to update dolphin with the dialogue box]

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

[Yes v 2503a-601]

Is the issue present in the latest release? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest release.

[I don't know]

If the issue isn't present in the latest release, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

[First broken version number here (if applicable)]

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

[Attach any fifologs if possible, write a description of fifologs and screenshots here to assist people unfamiliar with the game.]

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

[Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz, windows 10 x64 + 64-bit Visual C++ redistributable for Visual Studio 2022 installed]

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

[Anything else here]

probably the updater program is being blocked by a firewall or otherwise can't access the server to download the manifests

This would be the first time that one of my programs has been blocked by my firewall without a warning message.
I tried to update dolphin with the firewall disabled.
Still the same error message.

What do you suggest as a solution?

The Updater.log you've attached is from the last update you did before we moved the location of the updater log file several years ago.

To find the current updater log:

  • Open Dolphin.exe.
  • In the File menu select "Open User Folder".
  • In the user folder that pops up, open the Logs folder.
  • Updater.log should be in that folder.

Here it is.

Do you have any security software (like an antivirus or a firewall) on your PC? I'm able to download the manifests listed in the log files without any problems.
