What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

[Game icons/covers/banners for Dolhin android suddenly stop loading. Previously loaded not showing. Seems issue could be related to gamelist.cache limit at 500KB]

What steps will reproduce the problem?

[Fresh install of Dolphin on android. Adding some approx 38x GC .rvz with no issues. Can close/reopen Dolphin and icons still shown. Gamelist file is less than 500KB. Adding additional .rvz files e.g. 30x .rvz Wii works upon first load. Closing and reopening dolphin makes no covers load. Gamelist.cache file is capped at 500KB for some reason. No dependencies found with save files, savestates or configs.]

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

[Yes 2512-438, but also earlier]

Is the issue present in the latest release? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest release.

[Yes 2512-438]

If the issue isn't present in the latest release, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

[At least 2512 but likely earlier - i am new user]

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

[Attach any fifologs if possible, write a description of fifologs and screenshots here to assist people unfamiliar with the game.]

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

[Android 16 on Galaxy tab s10 fe plus]

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

[Please investigate if the cachefile may be the reason]

  • Operating system Android added
  • Operating system deleted (N/A)

Android can take the liberty of deleting files in the cache directory if it thinks it's necessary, for instance because you're low on space. Could it be the case that you're low on space?

Unfortunately not likely in this case - 35 GB free of 128 internal, 1 TB free of 1.5 on sdcard (where the games are stored).
