Not sure about. I used md5sum from linux terminal and is => 53a0eb3d593b3280911269d2aee2f6b1
I am testing with a decrypted Triforce disc image recognized by Dolphin as GLLP6E.

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

On Android, Virtua Striker 4 Ver.2006 boots and is playable visually/audio-wise, but Player 1 constantly receives a phantom upward analog input in gameplay.

The issue looks like Y+ / Up is always being applied inside the game, even when no physical input is pressed.

Important details:

  • The game boots.
  • Audio works.
  • Coin input works.
  • The general Triforce test menu works.
  • The game only renders correctly with OpenGL on my device; Vulkan gives a black screen.
  • In the game input test, P1 analog appears centered:
    • Analog X = 0x80
    • Analog Y = 0x7F
  • However, in actual gameplay, the player constantly moves upward by itself.
  • Removing Up/Down mappings from Dolphin does not stop the phantom upward movement.
  • Resetting/deleting Triforce backup/card files does not fix it.
  • The issue persists after recalibration.

This seems similar to the previously discussed Virtua Striker 4 Y-axis / analog lever issue in the Triforce support PR, where Y+ could appear pressed in-game even though it was not shown as pressed in Dolphin's input configuration.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Use Dolphin Android release 2606 on an Android handheld.
  2. Launch Triforce game Virtua Striker 4 Ver.2006 Export, Game ID GLLP6E.
  3. Use OpenGL backend, because Vulkan shows a black screen on this device.
  4. Enter the Triforce system/game test menu.
  5. Check input test:
    • P1 Analog X is around 0x80.
    • P1 Analog Y is around 0x7F.
  6. Start the game.
  7. Do not touch the analog stick or D-pad.
  8. Observe that Player 1 still moves upward by itself.
  9. Remove Up/Down mappings from Dolphin and test again.
  10. The phantom upward movement still happens.

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

[TEST THIS BEFORE SUBMITTING]

Latest development version listed on the official Dolphin website at the time of testing: 2606-95.

Result:
[Yes/No - write whether the issue is present in 2606-95 Android]

Is the issue present in the latest release? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest release.

Yes.

Tested on Dolphin Android 2606.

Revision:
6094cfcf7b8fba733b3116fdf3414d51c1c0e4a4

If the issue isn't present in the latest release, which is the first broken version?

Not applicable. The issue is present in the latest release I tested, Dolphin Android 2606.

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible.

This is primarily an input issue, not a graphical issue.

However, there is also a rendering difference on my device:

  • Vulkan: black screen with audio.
  • OpenGL: game renders correctly.

I can attach a short video showing:

  1. Input test with Analog X = 0x80 and Analog Y = 0x7F at rest.
  2. Gameplay where the player moves upward without any physical input.
  3. Dolphin input mapping showing Up/Down removed or not pressed.

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

Android device:

Device: Retroid Pocket 6 Pro
Operating System: Android [INSERT ANDROID VERSION]
SoC/CPU/GPU: [INSERT IF KNOWN]
Dolphin version: 2606
Dolphin revision: 6094cfcf7b8fba733b3116fdf3414d51c1c0e4a4
Graphics backend tested:

  • OpenGL: game renders, but phantom Up/Y+ input occurs
  • Vulkan: black screen with audio

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots, configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

Additional notes:

  • Game ID is GLLP6E.
  • Triforce segaboot is configured and the Triforce system menu works.
  • Coin input works.
  • Game test/input test works.
  • Backup/card files were deleted/reset and the issue still happens.
  • The issue is not caused by a stuck physical D-pad Up mapping, because removing Up/Down mappings does not stop the upward movement.
  • The analog values shown in input test appear centered or near-centered:
    • P1 Analog X = 0x80
    • P1 Analog Y = 0x7F
  • The bug only appears during gameplay as a phantom upward movement.

I can provide:

  • video of the input test and gameplay
  • Dolphin.ini
  • GLLP6E.ini if needed
  • Android device model/version
