What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.
Non-Deterministic behavior when playing back .dtm TAS movie leading to desync.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
For Dolphin 2603a download the .dtm movie and follow sync instructions here:
https://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/639258255023455559
During first .dtm playback after Dolphin is opened a desync always occurs which ultimately results in failure to kill Del Lago at frame 202890. Fix that worked for me is: Open Dolphin fresh. Play the game for any length of time (short or long, with or without .dtm playback). Stop the game, don't close Dolphin. Then play the .dtm movie. It should then sync past killing Del Lago through the rest of the movie. Of note, which may or may not be significant, the desync occurred during the only point in the movie I needed to aim with Wii Remote.
Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.
2609-3 is currently the latest development version. Due to my lack of understanding of new Dolphin directory and my desire to retain my settings I will not test later versions. I have seen no evidence this issue has been fixed since my version 2603a.
Is the issue present in the latest release? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest release.
2609 is currently the latest development version. See above.
If the issue isn't present in the latest release, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)
Desyncs attempting TAS of RE4 Wii Edition have always occurred for me, from even pre Dolphin 5.0 era. This example working for 2603a is the first time I have been able to document and repeat the non-deterministic behavior.
What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)
Intel 12th Gen, Internal GPU (Iris), Windows 11.
Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)
