What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. use any rev after r3984
  2. play Metroid Prime or Super Mario Sunshine
  3. game freezes either in menu or in intro or short after playing

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

game not freezing

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Using any SVN after r3984, only tested x64

Using Win7 x64 and Vista x64, Nvidia GTX 295

Please provide any additional information below.

tried all SVN's after r3984 and it is definitely r3984 that caused these
games to freeze. After very very much trial and error I'm sure that it is
this REV. After a lot of testing I also found that Unknownforce used to
compile his binaries without this rev because it breaks Metroid Prime and
other games. Recent changes in SVN make it impossible to revert r3984
though, so I hope it can be fixed this way. It's easier to confirm with
Metroid Prime as it is quite sure to already freeze in menu or during the
intro after starting a new game. Super Mario Sunshine will crash like 1 out
of 2 times upon starting for me. If i get in game with SMS then it usually
runs for 15-30 mins till it crashes with a freeze. Without r3984 neither of
those two games crashes at any point for me.
