Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Right-click a Wii game from the list
  2. Choose 'Compress ISO...'

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

It is expected that the ISO will be properly compressed, and that the
original file will be untouched. Instead, the compressor generates an
unusable compressed file (not so bad) and also corrupts the original
(terrible!).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

4525 on Vista x64.

Please provide any additional information below.

The ISO in question is a scrubbed copy of Wii Music. I can't compare the
original file before and after the compressor was run, but the file
modification date indicates that it was indeed changed, and it's not just
dolphin refusing to read it now. The file size looks about the same, so I'm
assuming it wasn't just truncated. Dolphin shouldn't be modifying the
original file under any circumstances, unless I'm much mistaken, so this
sort of corruption shouldn't even be possible.

Try the latest SVN, this might be fixed as there was some work on this.

invalid - fixed before issue was made, and no response to say it's still broken
