Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Open Tales of Symphonia with DX9 and OpenGL plugin
2. Go to the map
3. (or) go to some battle

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It should have music in the map zone and in battles...instead of that the
music dissapears (in the map) and in the battles it only has some instruments.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I've been having these problems since rev 4131 and I Tried with rev 4733
without any change
Windows Vista Home Premium x86 and

Is there any chance of this being repaired?

It looks like the Skies of Arcadia Legends issue and it has never been fixed since
Dolphin exists =/

Yeah but recently they're doing some adjustments to improve sound in Zelda and other
games. Maybe they could take a look at this issue 'cause it's such a great game >_<

Yup they've done a great job on sound emulation but not yet for these games xD

Could you take a video of your problem ? That'd be interesting to know if its the
same bug as Skies of Arcadia or not ^^

Running it on direct3D9..Internal resolution 3x..Anti-Aliasing 4xssaa..Ani-Filt. 16X

As far as audio goes..HLE with DTK music and Audio throttle..Dsound at 48000HZ
Hope it helps out.

This issue still exists, with the same settings as the last user (HLE, DTK music, audio throttle, 48000hz DSound)

Instruments cut out in BGM tracks, throughout the entire game. Voice and SE tracks still work perfectly, and graphics have little to no glitches, as well as zero FPS drops throughout the game.

Using Dolphin 3.0-183.

you must use dsp-LLE and not dsp-HLE : HLE is the problem, even if the devs improved it

Lately, sound in this game is working a bit better, but some instruments are skipped (in HLE) and I have 60fps, now, if I use LLE, music gets a bit better but frames are horribly down (< 30fps). I have a Windows 7 x64, Ati Radeon HD 5670, AMD Athlon 2 x4 620 processor.

This issue is still present in the last rev!!

Not under LLE, it isn't.

You'll either have to deal with LLE being incredibly slow on your non-god-tier computer or deal with HLE's incorrect sound at normal speed. The comments on Issue 4452 should explain why.

The issue has been fixed for HLE in dolphin 3.5. Thanks a lot.

I have the same problem with game having sound issues on latest builds i've tried all the above HLe LLE tried 5-6 different builds the game opening has sound issues no matter what i do even when fps is at 60+

In game sound and music work fine as far as i can tell... in other words forgive me for having wasted your time like a noob without first checking what the sound issue was rather than getting stuck on the opening video sound.

I have tried to play this game too and i get super choppy audio. the cutscenes are almost untranslateable. I have core i5 intel processor and windows 7 home prem. x64. I have tried multiple revs. and all the adjustment recommendations I could find and the issue just gets worse or stays the same. I hope someone can help with this. I've tried 3.5, 3.0, and multiple revs including 3.5 r1154 and Im getting nowhere. Its a shame really. The audio was over half the draw for this game.
