Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Load Battalion Wars and wait until load screen

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Before the game would load; now it freezes at about 70% loaded.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
R4760 JIT64, with Vista x64. Using ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670.

Please provide any additional information below.
This must have been a recent regression; as early as R4724 it was working
just fine.

Yup - with r4764 it at least gets past the initial load screen. However, still
can't get beyond the intro movies to go ingame - it crashes with a popup error
indicating "GFX FIFO: Unknown Opcode (0x3e)". Again, this is a recent regression as
it was working with R4724.

Update: As of R4878 (JITIL compile) the issue still exists, and you can't go
ingame. I'm not getting the error message above anymore; however as soon as the
first mission begins, Brigadier Betty's voice repeats over and over and the game
hangs.

this worked up to svn r4758 then stopped working on svn r4769
