Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start NSMB (or maybe another mutiplayer game) with 2 WiiMotes connected
(at least one Real)
2. Play for 5-15 minutes
3. Eventually both WiiMotes will freeze, that is, as if the last buttons
pressed are never released, and any other new inputs are ignored...

The time it takes to freeze seems totally random... I've been able to play
for half an hour without freezing one time. Anotehr time I've gotten the
freeze within 2 minutes...

I have this too:(

#3 Updated by wespipes69 over 10 years ago

100% confirmed - it is about 5-10 minutes for me before functionality is cut off
and/or a controllers rumble will stick until the emu is closed (NSMB).

God multiplayer is fun while it last though! :P

So the point is "at least one Real"?
How about two emulated, no real?

#6 Updated by fgfemperor over 10 years ago

Hmm sorry, I thought so, but just got it with 2 emulated WiiMotes (and my Real WiiMote
wasn't even connected)... It's weird, because after it happens, even if you disconnect
the WiiMotes (via Menu -> Tools -> Connect) the game still thinks the WiiMotes are
there frozen on those last buttons you pressed... And I think maybe it has something
to do with issue 1920 ...

If you play with 3 or 1 player, the game won't freeze, just if you choose 2 or 4 it
freezes. I hope this information will help.

Happens with 2 emulated wiimotes for me. I'll try using 3! I heard that might work.

ayuanx: I don't think issue 1920 is a Duplicate of this, because when the rumble
stucks (issue 1920) all you gotta do is disconnect and reconnect. Anyway the
controllers keep working even with the rumble stuck...

Well, you have to look at the cause "Two wiimotes", the symptoms could vary but the
cause are identical

Used 3 Emu Wiiremote - closed Dolphin after 5 game minutes:(

#15 Updated by ayuanx over 10 years ago

ekshenman, make sure that can be reporduced, since pedro.jedi mentioned that 3
wiimotes in NSMB work fine.

Play again - Dolphin only closed after few minutes:(

Hmm looks like it's related to the WiiMotes slots in use rather than the number of
WiiMotes... Just played for half an hour with Wiimotes 1 (real) and 3 (emu) and it
didn't happen... Gonna do some more testings though...

Just tried 4781 and no change - couldn't even get through a level before all the
wiimote functionality cut off and had to restart the emu. :(

Thanks for trying but not fixed yet.

I'm sure it doesn't freeze with 3 players, I played it 3 times, each of them lasted
more than 3 hours. And there were 3 active players, not a emulated idle.
But 2 and 4 players freezes.

No, not fixed for me. I'd play with 1 emu wiimote and disconnected ar r4788:(

#23 Updated by fgfemperor over 10 years ago

ekshenman? does it disconnect (but your able to connect it again using Menu -> Tools -

Connect WiiMote) or does it freeze and you unable to use it again unless you close
the emulator?

I have Problem like you, with 2 Real Wiimotes i can play only SSBB in all other Games
like Mario Kart or NSMB both Wiimotes freeze at once.

#26 Updated by ekshenman over 10 years ago

Tested at r4790 - same problem. Why is fixed?

#27 Updated by marcel.werner3 over 10 years ago

because you seem to be the only one left with a problem, so it doesn't seem to be an
issue with dolphin but with your system.

#28 Updated by ayuanx over 10 years ago

ekshenman, you should read the comments of r4783, and you will see ...

#29 Updated by ekshenman over 10 years ago

Patch the game - all be fine now, thanks:)

Aah,Problem solved.
Now i can play all Games with 2 Real Wiimotes.
I must play with Tools/Connect a couple of times before its working, but after few
min.and a few resets its working ^
But only when i not copy the User Folder(My Savegames)to the new Dolphin Rev,when i
copy this it dont recognize the Wiimotes anymore.Really curios or maybe my Failure ^
