Description

After finally updating my build of Dolphin, I can't use the debugger any
more for some reason - it's so slow and laggy that it's impossible to get
past the Wii strap screen.
I tracked down the problem to having been introduced in r4790.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Use any Dolphin revision from r4790 onwards
  2. Start the emulator in debugger mode with /d
  3. Start a game; hit Play [Tested with Mario Kart Wii and New Super Mario
    Bros]

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
On older revisions, I can hit Play and the game will start up instantly.
On r4790 onwards, I just get a blank emulator window which is completely
frozen. I can't even move it (either Windows ignores my attempts, or the
window is moved after about 10 seconds). The titlebar on the window claims
that it's running at 0 FPS, 0 speed.

If I open the log window, I can see the game loading extremely slowly
(because of the DVD file reads) and the screen will update every few
seconds whenever another file is read. However, it never fully loads past
the wrist strap screen.

Normal gameplay works fine, when the debugger is off - but as soon as I
start Dolphin in debug mode, the problems occur.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Dolphin r4811 on Windows 7 32-bit
