Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Choose Story Mode from the menu and choose the first mission
  2. Go through all the selections/options until you reach the Course Preview
  3. You'll hear a hissing sound and then Dolphin crashes entirely

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The Course preview music followed by the actual (story)race.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SVN R4843 JIT/IL (but it happens in all SVN revs) on Windows XP 32bit.

Please provide any additional information below.
This could be DSP related issue. The recent huge playability fix for F-
ZERO GX did not solve this issue.

Give the devs a break already. They just got the game working decently well after
such a long time and it almost seems like a smack in the face that people are still
not happy even a few hours after the commit that allows the game to be playable.

Why don't you give me a break. You have no idea how happy I am that F-ZERO GX is
working now. But by posting bugs we can make the experience even better. Think
positive.

Are you by chance using the DX Plugin?
I'm still on r4839, since my build script is set to skip JitIL x64, but that very
build runs the story mode just fine (with OpenGL Plugin and HLE Sound)

I'm using the OpenGL plugin and HLE sound. I don't use the DX plugin often.

I think is related to safe texture cache, when you desactivate no crash!

Actions #7

Updated by shadoweffex about 14 years ago

That is not the case here, I have Save Texture Cache disabled.

@davon92
Turn off the Panic Handlers in the options. And create your own issue if you want to
discuss it or use the forums.

For some reasons this only happens in the 32bits version, can anyone confirm or
infirm this ?
I can't reproduce this on x64 JIT using any plugin.

Crash does happen on JIT32 when accessing memory card.

Updated by ayuanx about 14 years ago

And to j.rechards, forget about JIT32, we all know it doesn't work, no need to
report that.
